"Connie's Khan" came to life because of a commission from Connie, a Siberian Tiger loving customer from Colorado. Daniel referenced his photos that he had taken years ago at the Japanese Village and Deer Park in Buena Park, CA (off the 5 fwy.) of a Siberian Tiger named Khan. Daniel arranged with Khan's trainer and owner David McMillan to take photos of him. Dan set up his camera on the outside of the arena only to be told to bring the camera inside the arena where he took hundreds of pictures because Khan was quite the performer! Khan is also portrayed in Daniel's painting "Jesus and His Endangered Ones."
